Cristiano Ronaldo demands for patience from Real Madrid teammates and also from the Spanish club’s fans.
Ronaldo moved to the Real Madrid club from the Manchester United this offseason and he scored nine goals in his last seven appearances, and all those matches were wins since he left England. His recent ankle injury has forced him to the sidelines and from there he has been watching his team struggle.
In an interview Ronaldo said, “I’ve already missed some games to injury but it’s not like I’m the savior… I’m just a player that will give to help the team to win, but the team needs to work. I think things will improve.”
This Portugal winner had missed Real Madrid’s past 6 games in the first leg of the fourth round of the Copa del Rey. One of the game which was against Alcorcon was a 4-0 loss. All these have resulted on putting pressure on coach Manuel Pellegrini and he has pleaded for more time.
Euro 250 million was the expense for bringing Ronaldo, Kaka, Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso in the sqad. How much more time should be given to a team who spent this huge amount in the offseason.
