Iker Casillas, Spain international goalkeeper, believes that the Madrid will have put heavy investment in their squad if they has to avoid another early exit from the Champions League in the next season. Iker Casillas thinks this after 4 seasons of failure to even reach the quarter-finals it is time for the Real Madrid to bring in the necessary talent.
The club was eliminated from the competition this season by the Liverpool and this has left Iker Casillas believe that the squad requires improvement this summer.
He told to the media, “I think that we need to bring together players who can compete at European level, where every team have strengthened well and have big names.”
He also added that it is also true that they have come up against great teams and perhaps they could not do much more but the club should not go 5 years without progressing beyond the first knockout round.
