The president of Real Madrid said recently that the club need to sign two more players and also to offload approx 10 to round off their summer transfer dealings.
This 9-times European champions have till now spent over £180m on bringing in Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker Karim Benzema, Kaka of Brazil and also the defender Raul Albiol to the Bernabéu.
President said to the media recently, “Now we need to calm down a little because squads usually have around 25 players and ours now has some 35.” He also added that they need to concentrate now on efforts on convincing some players that they will have to leave. He said further that it should not be forgotten there is a World Cup next summer and all their players want to play in it.
He also mentioned, “If players aren’t going to have the chance to participate here they’ll want to do it somewhere else, to be able to make it to the World Cup. As to new signings, I think with two more we would have sufficient.”
