French International and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is on doubt to miss out on a return back to Lyon, as medical reports revealed, he will be sidelined for at least a week and is unlikely to recover in time for the first leg of Madrid’s Champions League clash next Tuesday against the French giants Lyon. According to the press release on Real’s website, it says: “After a physical examination and an MRI carried out today in the Hospital Sanitas La Moraleja on the player Karim Benzema, swelling on the left adductor muscle has been diagnosed.
Estimated layoff: seven days, depending on his clinical progress.” Benzema would definitely be highly disappointed with his reports, as he advanced through the ranks at the French club Lyon and was a key player for the French club until his transfer to Real Madrid last summer.
