Karim Benzema, the new striker in Real Madrid, said in an interview to a Spanish newspaper that his ambition was to join Real Madrid.
Karim Benzema has been the third to be signed after Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo this summer. He has signed joined the club for 40 million Euros from French side Olympique Lyon.
Benzema has scored the first goal for the club in the pre-season in the 1-0 win against Shamrock Rovers. He simply said that this goal is only the start of his aims. He said, “When I was little I used to wear a Real Madrid shirt and I used to think that I would like to play for them and now it has happened.”
He also added, “I have come to Real Madrid to win everything possible. I hope to be able to adapt quickly to life at the club.” Benzema said this before rejecting comparisons with Ronaldo.
He mentioned further that when Ronaldo came here, he promised to score 30 goals a season. He continued that he is going to follow his own path.
