Real Madrid striker Alvaro Negredo is signing with Sevilla. It will be a four-year contract. Report comes on Thursday that Sevilla will be paying about euro15 million ($21 million).
Negredo is now 24-year-old and has scored 19 goals this season at Almeria before he returns to the Spanish capital.
Manolo Jimenez, coach of Sevilla, said, “It looks like it’s going well, but nothing is confirmed yet.” Real Madrid has strikers such as Karim Benzema, Raul Gonzalez, Gonzalo Higuain and Ruud van Nistelrooy now. Zaragoza, a Spanish club, and English side Hull have also been linked to the player. Manolo Jimenez said to the media, “He’s a football player that I’ve always liked.” He further added by saying, “He would be a reinforcement that I had no problem in asking for. If he comes, perfect.”
